Abstract
A coordinate-free approach to power concepts by means of complex structures in real Hilbert spaces is presented. Starting from the case of one frequency, the authors construct the theory for the general case of an arbitrary number of frequencies using the Hilbert sum and Hilbert integral. This mathematical frame is justified by commonly accepted experimental facts and restates the classical Budeanu model of power quantities
