Abstract
In nonverbal communication such visual tools as signs and pictograms are widely used to help others understand, they should be designed based on shared concepts. For this purpose, we propose a framework for exploring such concepts by putting them in a topology space based on mathematical morphology and modal logic. This method helps us to clarify how common sense or misconceptions occur in nonverbal communication.
