Abstract :
Meteorology is the interdisciplinary scientific study of atmosphere. Weather forecasting / now casting is one of the crucial applications of Meteorology. Weather and Climate is a measure of time. A condition of the atmosphere for a short period of time is Weather, while, how the atmosphere behaves over a long period of time is Climate. Weather Now casting, is defined as a Short term weather forecast, for expected conditions in the next few hours. It is a description of current weather parameters and 0-2 hour´s description of forecasted weather parameters. In this paper, we have proposed to use Web Services, interoperable across the web to relay weather status, as and when the users need in any form and in any media. In today´s world of overloaded data, this weather service will turn data into valuable information, and provide an opportunity for the layman as well as experts to access, utilize, benefit and better understand the complex meteorological phenomenon.
