Abstract
Review of knowledge management practices of officers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait revealed that knowledge workers in the public sector frequently use social media and networking tools to enhance their personal knowledge. They stay in touch with their contacts through email and telephone. Twitter is on the top of the list of social networking tools they use while email management tools have been reported as the most commonly used personal information management tools. Officers give priority to communication with contacts having expertise in their area of responsibility. However, less importance appears to have been attached to making comments on blogs and editing wikis.
