Abstract :
In this paper, we analyze the inherent limitations of original definitions of static network codes. Based upon these analyses, we provide corresponding alternative definitions to overcome these limitations from a graph-theoretic perspective and prove them equivalent to the original one. After that, an integrated scheme for static network codes is proposed, under which all different classes of static network codes can be described, constructed and verified in an integrated way. As a result, we are able to have better position that affords an extensive overall view of static network codes in terms of linear independence.
