Abstract :
A commercially proven process ELECTROXTM (consisting of ELECTROFLOCR and RADINOXR modules) has been shown capable of completely eliminating the contaminants found in bilge, ballast and dock rain run-off waters. Furthermore, the processes involved have been shown capable of removing heavy metals, FOGs, TSSs, VOCs and reducing BODs and CODs to levels making disposal of the water acceptable in estuaries, as well as in industrial or domestic POTWs. The processes have been proven in commercial operations on a continuous basis, meeting very stringent requirements, for over five years. Recently, design improvements have permitted the manufacture and delivery of a 50 gallon per minute (72,000 gallons per day) mobile system, mounted on a 48 ft, eight wheel single drop trailer. The system may also be barge mounted for mobility within a harbor, moved from harbor to harbor or moved along the banks of a river
