Abstract
Modern graphical user interface techniques are used in the design and specification of complex distributed systems. A window-oriented and menu-driven net-editor and an integrated simulator with animation support have been implemented. This toolset is based on high-level Petri nets, extended with an object-oriented paradigm and a hierarchical structuring facility. The flexibility and high level of abstraction support rapid prototyping
