Abstract :
A new generation of MM wave radio measurement instruments is developed, including signal and sweep generators, scalar network analyzers, vector network analyzers, thermistor mounts, direct reading attenuators; and calorimetric power meters. The new generation instruments allow to expand a dynamic range of measurements and to reduce errors of being measured parameters of waveguide components and millimeter wave systems and are working in the 33-170 GHz frequency range. Design of measurement instruments was based on utilizing of contemporary microwave components, analog signal processing techniques, microcontrollers, digital signal processors and personal computers.
