  • Abstract
Summary form only given. The technique for analytical calculation of currents produced by explosive-driven ferromagnetic generators (FMGs) is developed. The generators utilize longitudinal (shock wave propagates along the magnetization vector M) and transverse (shock wave propagates across the magnetization vector M) shock demagnetization of Nd2Fe14B high-energy hard ferromagnets. The technique is based on the analysis of magnetic flux stored in the hard ferromagnetic energy-carrying element of the FMG along with parameters of pulsed power components of the system. The developed technique provides quick and comprehensive analyses of output current amplitudes produced by the systems. Comparison of the calculation results with experimentally obtained current amplitudes in a variety of FMG-based systems shows very good agreement.
