Abstract
Reasons, that hinder the practical use of the absorbing wall method, are analyzed, mathematical and physical sensor models are given, their generation classification is proposed. Different technical solutions on electrical and thermal stability, accuracy, speed of performance, measurement range, reliability are considered.
