Abstract :
This paper proposes a new retransmission scheme which is parallel hybrid ARQ (PH-ARQ) for OFDM based broadband wireless communications systems. There are three types of PH-ARQ schemes: parallel chase combining (PCC); parallel partial incremental redundancy (PPIR); parallel full incremental redundancy (PFIR). PH-ARQ has made fully the best of the parallel transmission capabilities of OFDM based communication systems. PH-ARQ has exhibited better performance than conventional H-ARQ schemes.
