Abstract :
The authors propose that voice, image, graphics, and text can be studied as a whole by means of a visual auditory information processing system. It is shown that the new intelligent visual auditory information processing system can be made and can solve some difficult problems in information processing. The following audio-visual functions exist in the system: (1) there is the output ability for synthesis of speech and images; (2) the system can control the work of the vision system using speech and the vision understanding results can be output by means of graphics or speech; and (3) there is a transformation function of text and speech. The experimental results show that this new concept of information processing is feasible
