Abstract :
We investigate the dynamics of the brain alpha waves in the entrainment to color-alternating flicker stimuli with various combinations of stimulus colors. The in-phase entrainment over the entire scalp is observed in the response to alternating red/blue stimuli for about 50% of entrained subjects whereas the anti-phase one is observed for other subjects. The anti-phase response is observed under the condition of other combinations of stimulus colors for most of the subjects of 70%. The result suggests that the alternating red/blue flicker stimuli significantly affect the activity of the brain waves.
