Abstract :
We report a high-contrast 40Gb/s ring modulator with integrated thermal tuning fabricated in a 130nm CMOS process. Under 2V modulation, its optical eyes showed extinction ratios of 7dB at 40Gb/s and 2.3dB at 44Gb/s.
