Abstract :
One of the main problems of the multicarrier communication systems based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing is the high peak-to-average power ratio of the transmitted signal. This paper presents a new adaptive companding scheme which requires only few additional operations to improve the peak-to-average power ratio reduction. The paper highlights the performance and advantages of the proposed technique and compares it with other existing methods.
