Abstract :
In order to further investigate the vibration performance of power transformer for the detection of winding deformation based on the vibration frequency response analysis (VFRA) method, the electro dynamic forces of the winding of power transformer are calculated first by virtue of the field-circuit coupled finite element method. Then the axial vibration model of the winding is built and the harmonic response analysis is done to study the vibration performance with the obtained results of electro dynamic forces when the winding is in healthy condition and in fault condition. The experiment of vibration frequency response for the 220kV transformer is made via the developed vibration measurement system. Calculated results and experimental results are agreed well when the winding is deformed with the preset fault of the drop of winding block. Moreover, it is verified again by the experimental results that the vibration analysis method to detect the winding deformation is more sensitive than that of leakage reactance method.
