Abstract
This paper deals with the correction of the phase fluctuations produced in an optical wavefront due to the particular wavefront passing through the atmosphere using the principle of Optical Phase Conjugation. This is achieved by producing the optical phase conjugated wave of the distorted wavefront by the process of degenerate fourwave mixing and making the phase conjugated wave interfere with a resultant wavefront, where the resultant wavefront is the difference between the original wavefront and the optical phase conjugated wavefront. Results are obtained using image processing in MATLAB.
