Abstract
This paper considers the problem of global stabilization in network control systems (NCS) with continuous loss of states. In this context, data packet loss is an important issue that must be adequately addressed. Compared with randomly data packet loss, continuous (arbitrary) data packet loss is much more challenging to deal with because it requires to consider the maximum degree of continuous loss of states that a system can tolerate. In this paper, we give a characterization on the maximum sampling rate such that the continuous controller can still stabilize the sampled system. We also provide a condition under which the original controller is still able to stabilize the system in the presence of continuous loss of states. Several illustrative examples are given in the paper.
