Abstract :
An algorithm for parallel processing of video image signals in real time on symmetric hypernets is presented. The basic model consists of 16 processors in a (2,2,1) network, and is suitable for processing black and white TV video signals in a 3×3 convolution. It can be easily extended to 64 or more processors as per requirement to make it suitable for color TV in 9×9, 18×18, or 64×64 convolution, depending upon the refinement and sophistication needed in the processing of video signals and cost considerations
