Abstract :
This paper describes a one-dimensional design method for traction transformers, which is based on formulae issued in publications. These newly adapted general formulae allow the determination of the polygonal equivalent scheme for two basic designs of modern railways transformers. Comparisons to measured units show the good accuracy of the method.
