Abstract :
SoPC is a new concept & technique proposed by Altera Corporation at the beginning of the 21st century. With advance, high efficiency and economy, combined programmable logic elements, EDA, SoC, embedded system, DSP and IP, etc, it has advantages such as flexible design, tailorability, extension, upgradability and programmable software & hardware for the system. At present, some Chinese colleges try to start SoPC embedded class to pay attention to SoPC technical theory & concept and actual application. In general, it is mainly to introduce SoPC technical basic concept, usage method of Quartus Π software, DSP development technology on the basis of FPGA, NiosII embedded system development, NiosII common components & programming and SoPC technical application. SoPC embedded development board is designed in the paper for CycloneIII series of EP3C25 to enhance students´ basic skills & comprehensive engineering qualification so as to solve actual problems by SoPC embedded technology effectively. Experiment teaching content of SoPC embedded class can be strengthened and enriched by such development board. The paper is to introduce SoPC embedded development board by adopting EP3C25. Its main content includes hardware system structure and software program design.
