Abstract :
With the passage of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, the just-completed review and approval of the Clean Water Act, plus the plethora of hazardous waste legislation, new regulations, rules, and standards have been added to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency compliance requirements for industry, agriculture, transportation and energy. This paper illustrates the broad range of electronics which is now required for monitoring pollution in the total environment.
