Title :
A remote computer based surveillance and control system for telecommunication equipment
Author_Institution :
Nanyang Technol. Univ., Singapore
Abstract :
A microprocessor based system provides 24-hour remote surveillance and control of telecommunication equipment. The system allows automatic manning without human intervention and the presence of manpower at the center. The design and development of the system are described. Real-time point-to-point digital communication between the telecommunication equipment and host computer presented is discussed. Hardware and software design techniques and experimental results are summarized
