Abstract :
The technology of very large knowledge databases (VLKDs) is employed in the network management system. An application which explores the knowledge acquisition from very large databases (VLDBs) in cooperation with a rule-based expert system for achieving flexible network management of interconnecting communication networks is investigated. The possibilities for the topology reconfigurations of networks as well as the optimal assignment of facilities in the network are shown
