Abstract :
Techniques to evaluate the performance of user applications on parallel processors are reported. Intricacies caused by multiple job interactions and contentions on parallel processors are highlighted. It is important to consider the environment in which an application is to be run when predicting its performance. Towards this end, a methodology which is capable of predicting the performance of an application in real multi-user workloads has been developed
