  • Abstract
    To enhance the detection ability of the Poisson GWMA control chart, this work uses the composite Shewhart-Poisson GWMA control chart to monitor Poisson counts to detect small shifts more quickly. The Shewhart-Poisson GWMA control chart uses numerical simulation to determine average run lengths of various process mean shifts under adjusted parameters. Consequently, adding sensitizing rules increases the ability of Poisson GWMA control chart to detect small shifts and the rate of false alarms simultaneously.
