Abstract :
A new space-vector modulation strategy for four-switch inverters driving three-phase induction motors is described. The proposed modulation strategy has the same symmetry as in a classical B6 inverter. For the proposed modulation strategy an analytical model both in the time and frequency domain for calculating the motor parameters is derived. The analysis is based on a novel space vector decomposition technique. The theoretical expectations are compared with measured values to verify the developed model.
