Abstract :
Asymptotic bit-error rate expressions are derived for binary phase shift keying with multi-branch equal gain combining (EGC) and selection combining (SC) on equally correlated Rician channels. Numerical results indicate that these analytical error rate expressions can provide accurate error rate estimation at large signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Furthermore, these analytical results can be used to reveal some important insights into the performance characteristics of EGC and SC operating on equally correlated Rician fading channels.
