Abstract
A new method of removing rough-surface clutter in forward looking ground penetrating radar (FLGPR) is proposed based on the physical optics model. The Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) is proposed to perform a time-frequency analysis. The instantaneous power is worked out to do further processing. By imaging the instantaneous power, we can detect a target more accurately. The treatment comparisons of the experimental data show that the clutter-reduction method presented is better than the conventional method.
