Abstract
This paper aims to analyze the potential contribution and issues involved in using tablet computers for the education of Jordanian young learners. For this purpose, it introduces the principles of usability, user experience and discusses various expectations and benefits. The principles are based on the results of studies in psychology, computer science, instructional design, user experience and the author´s personal experience as a designer and educator. These principles should assist designers to develop applications that meet the needs of students and teachers in Jordan.
