Abstract :
Double space-time transmit diversity (D-STTD) is considered a promising technique for future multiple antenna wireless systems, since it provides both spatial diversity and multiplexing gains simultaneously. To further improve the performance of D-STTD, we propose a novel adaptive transmission technique. Although the originally proposed D-STTD is an open-loop scheme, the proposed adaptive scheme utilizes low-rate feedback information, which can significantly improve the performance of the open-loop D-STTD. Furthermore, when the adaptive scheme is jointly combined with the antenna shuffling scheme, it outperforms the existing antenna shuffling schemes with the same feedback information.
