Abstract :
In this paper we have presented the detailed analysis of a dual band or nearly omnidirectional slot radiator using the shunt slot doublets. The design of the antenna assumes that the two slots, milled on the opposite broad walls of a rectangular waveguide, are of different slot length. The slots, being of different length, resonate at two different frequencies and thus form a dual band antenna. The analysis of the proposed antenna is based on Multiple Cavity Modeling Technique (MCMT). The analysis has been validated by the excellent agreement obtained between the MCMT data, Ansoft HFSS simulated data and experimental data.
