Abstract :
Simulation results for an Ethernet with various acknowledgment schemes are presented, for both error-free and error-prone networks. Simulation results for the following schemes are included: Ethernet without acknowledgment scheme and without error; Ethernet with blast window, positive acknowledgment scheme without error; Ethernet with blast window, positive acknowledgment scheme with error; Ethernet with blast window, negative acknowledgment scheme without error; Ethernet with blast window, negative acknowledgment scheme with error; and acknowledging Ethernet. Results show that the negative acknowledgment scheme with a window protocol tends to have the best performance results
