  • Abstract
    A new approach during design of most efficient electro- and acousto-optic cells for modern fiberoptic infocommunication systems is offered. It is based on spatial anisotropy 3D-analysis of electro-, piezo- and acousto-optic effects in crystalline materials as working elements for such cells. The corresponding approach is demonstrated for researched crystals of barium beta-borate, langasite and pure and MgO-doped lithium niobate as known or prospective acousto-optic materials.
