South Korea and Taiwan area, began to invest to mainland of China since the end of 1980s, until now, their investment have been occupied the fifth and sixth among the global investment to China. At the beginning, the two areas´ local choice both emphasized the favorable geographical position and culture advantage, Korean investment fastened on the northeast of China and surrounding Bohai Bay area, and Taiwanese investment centralized in the coastland of southeast China; from the end of 1990´s, began to transfer to the Yangtze River Delta area. This thesis processes the investigation pointing to 12 provinces or cities including the top 10 FDI from Taiwan and South Korea, and analyzes the province-level panel-data from 1990 to 2005 by logit model. The result suggests that the two areas are not only in common about investment location choice in mainland China but also have the own characteristics.
