Abstract :
C8F18 and N2 gases are used as dissolved gases in a transformer mineral oil. This experimental work throws light upon the characteristics of the conduction current at low and high stress values. The influence of the gaps and the hydrostatic pressure conditions is also investigated. The results show that C8 F18 exhibits a greater reduction in the conduction current level with and without hydrostatic pressure than that of N2
