Abstract
In this paper, a uniformly redundant array camera (URA camera) using a heuristic method is proposed. The URA camera is one of the coded aperture imaging techniques. It has been used or proposed for X-ray imaging. In URA camera, the pinhole is replaced by multi-pinholes arrays arranged in m-sequences. So the URA camera can provide a two-dimensional image with a high resolution and high SN ratio. But the optical efficiency of the URA camera is restricted due to decoding operator and the camera cannot be used in very low-light intensity like inertial confinement fusion research. In the proposed method, a heuristic method is used for the decoding and does not need the decoding operator. Therefore, it can improve the optical efficiency. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the optical efficiency and tolerant to noise.
