Abstract :
A reduced-order state observer design method based on model reduction is presented. The observer is able to asymptotically estimate the states of the dominant part of dynamical linear time-invariant systems. Conditions for asymptotic tracking of the states of the observed system are derived. A numerical example is given to illustrate the design method
