Abstract :
In the paper, a variable frequency constant current power supply is developed to provide the variable frequency current to vibrate the power transformer. A proportional resonant controller is applied to control the current constant. The designed experiment of vibration frequency response analysis for the 220kV transformer is made to validate the effective of the power supply. Experimental results show that the developed power supply works well and could provide the desirable variable frequency constant current required by the vibration frequency response experiment to obtain the vibration performance of the winding of power transformer. With the well performed power supply, a high reliable frequency response of the collected vibration signal can be used to analyze the condition of the transformer windings. Moreover, the developed power supply can be easily operated by the manufacturers and designers with a friendly interface.
