  • Abstract
Voltage control is considered one of the basic operational requirements of electrical power systems both at distribution and transmission levels. It continues to attract the attention of workers to improve and/or develop new voltage control techniques. This paper provides an up-to-date thorough literature review of the voltage control techniques which are suitable for distribution network with high penetration. The paper then examines the effect of wind power penetration on voltage profile when connected to weak and strong networks.
