The ETSI Strategic Review Committee on Corporate Telecommunication Networks (ETSI SCR5) defined a corporate telecommunication network as consisting of `sets of equipment (customer premises equipment (CPE)) and/or customer premises networks (CTNs) which are located at geographically dispersed locations and are interconnected to provide networking services to a defined group of users´. These needs vary from corporation to corporation and evolve in time in response to internal and external forces.
