Abstract
In this work, the performances of two conventional compact microstrip antennas are improved using artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) ground planes. Design procedure and simulation results have already been reported in [1]. Therefore, only measurement results are presented here. The measurement results show that the new antennas, compared to the conventional microstrip antennas, demonstrate gain and bandwidth enhancements of about 1.5 dB and 8.5%, respectively.
