  • Abstract
    For the automatic inspection of printed labels, which are covered with rubber-like coatings and curl, we have developed a portable inspection system using a Web camera. In this paper, we explained the developed system and the verification experiments. The experimental results show that the developed system detects stains whose size is larger than or equal to 0.1 by 0.1 mm and patchiness whose width is larger than or equal to 0.3 mm unless conveyance errors occur using a VGA (640x480) Web camera.
