Mobile phone as a kind of mass media is more and more popular in human communications. However, is there any concern for consumers in using mobile phones? And is there any difference between eastern or the western? This paper will answer the questions by exploring the reasons for consumers to have mobile phones and the concerns in using mobile phone communications. Questionnaire survey is used in this research. The results show different concerns in different group of people which will be useful for future mobile phone technology development and M-commerce development in different cultural environments.
