Abstract :
A UWB band pass filter with ultra wide upper stopband is presented. A broad high selective notch band is also introduced in UWB passband to stop WLAN signals interference. The UWB filter is realized with a basic MMR structure. To achieve wide upper stop band a sharp cutoff lowpass filter is cascaded along with MMR. To eliminate WLAN signals from 5.15 to 5.5 GHz a dual mode fractal bandstop filter is realized and connected with MMR. Finally the combined structure is modified to reduce area requirement. EM simulated response of the filter shows an upper stop band extended up to 30 GHz with attenuation more than 20 dB.
