Abstract :
This article makes an attempt to analyze the most essential aspects connected with IP based transmission in present and future mobile networks by means of network programming in J2ME. It presents simple programs, which are related with network programming in mobile phones. First program can communicate with server and collect some information. Second application allows the user of mobile phone to connect to the server remotely using TCP-IP protocol. Java 2 Micro Edition programming language was used to create and simulate these programs. Results of simulation were made in Netbeans IDE with Netbeans Mobility Pack installed.
