            Abstract : 
A size-independent zero-permittivity rectangular resonator is reported. This resonator is constituted of an effective 2D wire medium operating at its plasma frequency surrounded by a separation arrangement of side and corner dielectrics. Due to its zero permittivity, the wire medium supports a uniform (infinite guided wavelength) field distribution. Since the zero-permittivity regime depends only on the parameters of the wire medium, the size of the resonator is independent on the operation frequency. An antenna with a pyramidal radiation pattern is presented as an application of this unusual resonator.
