Abstract
Research of driving forces of industrial evolution has long been a focus. Some literatures have deepened the theoretical and empirical analysis from the perspective of evolutionary economics. This paper provides a theoretical framework to analyze how the heterogeneity promoting industrial evolution under the conditions of cost difference and product diversity. Then we draw a conclusion that both the heterogeneity among firms and the technology innovation could promote industrial evolution.
