Abstract :
This paper deals with inter-vehicle communications (IVC) for an advanced intelligent transport systems (ITS). The IVC makes it possible to exchange real-time information among vehicles. We focus on the packet-based IVC, where intelligent equipments in vehicles communicate with each other automatically in wireless channels to exchange their transportation information. The authors presented Vehicular Information BROadcasting Relay (VIBROR) protocol in order to realize the multi-hop transmission scheme for broadcasting information without any complex negotiation among vehicles. We deal with priority control and filtering control of relayed information as effective buffer management on the VIBROR protocol.
