Abstract :
In this article the finite elements method is used to calculate the parameters of a salient pole synchronous generator by the simulations of the time domain tests. These simulations were carried out employing different voltage values to show the influence of the saturation. The results are validated with the field tests on a machine of 4 kVA, 220/127 V, 60 Hz and 1200 rpm.
